Nestle Boosts Robusta Yields in Cote d'Ivoire Trial The world's largest coffee producer, Nestle, has been working with local farmers in Cote d'Ivoire to improve yields and quality of Robusta coffee beans through its Boost technology.
Robusta is the second most consumed coffee species globally, accounting for around 40% of all Arabica and Robusta production.
Historically, however, it has been relegated to a secondary role due to its lower quality and higher acidity compared to Arabica. The significance of Robusta in Cote d'Ivoire cannot be overstated.
