Double Digit Growth: What's Brewing in India's Coffee Shops? India's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections have seen a welcome surge, with revenues rising at double digit rates for three consecutive months.
The August numbers showed an impressive 14. 8% increase to Rs 1,99,853 crore, driven by a 29% jump in imports and a 9. 3% rise in domestic transactions.
The growth is not limited to domestic transactions, which account for two thirds of the total revenue, but also reflects a significant increase in imports.
